Special Meeting Agenda for Thursday August 13, 2026

Time: 5:00 P.M.

1. Call to order at 5:10pm by Lindon Duke
   1. Pledge of Allegiance
   2. Roll call: members present: Cindy Nelson, Lindon Duke, LeAnne Durham, Carrie Dalson. Other officers and guests present: Rubin Rojas, Rob Tangren, Kenyon Duke, Linda Marshall, Larry Bright
   3. Motion to approve the agenda as amended: Cindy, second: Carrie. Carried.
2. Motion to approve June 18, 2026 meeting minutes: Cindy, second: Carrie. Carried.
3. Public Comments: None.
4. Chief’s Report: Rubin Rojas: Rob working on large ems grant. Emily Techio (Fire Chiefs Assn.): There is $200,000 available through the County for equipment in rural areas. Type 6 equipment has been ordered and paid for; needs to be picked up in White City, OR. 58 calls in June. With Kenyon and Rob here can have 2 ambulance responses. Volunteers doing awesome. Undergoing training to be able to locate items on ambulance. Cleaning 5560 and sending pictures for its sale. Agency Fire: Larry and Kenyon brought engine and ambulance in order to respond for medical call while on scene. 5581 saved a house from burning; no structures were lost. Lots of equipment, cleaning and office supplies were donated from closed US Cellular stores. MC Youth Project opened. Fire Dept. showed up. Good attendance.
5. Volunteers: Kenyon: postpone meeting until next week. More volunteers are showing up for calls. Increased interest in people wanting to join.
6. Auxiliary report: Carrie: meeting on Monday
7. Finance report: Linda: Report and review of monthly expenses. Bank reconciliation signed off. Need to contact Computer Works to update Accufund license.
8. Communications
   1. Rob: Report attached. Offer Air Med Care subscriptions to Board Members. Exploring grants using professional grant writer who charges 10% of the grant. Grant available for 2 years: medical training, training materials, paid instructors, CPR manikins, train the trainer. Want approval for Rob or Ruben to attend Tribal Council Meetings; how to get on the agenda. Contact Jim Russ, Administrator.
9. Items which require action of the Board:
   1. Closed Session: 5:56pm. No action taken. Resume 6:17pm.
10. Old Business
    1. Approve CFPD Bylaws amendments: tabled.
    2. Updated District Policy Review: tabled.
    3. CFPD Ambulance rate increase: deleted.
    4. Repair of 5530: Cost $4200. Volunteers will pay $1000, District will pay $3200.
    5. Building permit: Cindy went to the County. Need a copy of code violations and complaints from them which they were unable to comply. Motion to contact Pope Engineering to draw plans: Cindy, second: Carrie. Carried.

    1. None
